Don't forget, Terry Fox Run and pep rally will be tomorrow during periods 5-7! Regular classes in the morning. Thanks for all your hard work completing your CARS assessments. We will analyze our results next week. On Monday, be prepared to share your name "brick' with the class for a speaking mark.

This week in Humanities, we practiced some reading comprehension on readtheory.org . I encourage you all to practice your reading comprehension a few times a week. Remember the only way to become a better reader is to READ! We also talked about the importance of identity, and why our names matter. Next week, we will do our CARS reading comprehension assessment and continue discussing identity. Don't forget, our Terry Fox run will take place on Thursday, September 22.   Have a great weekend!

This week, we began looking at identity and stereotypes, and discussed some current world news.  Next week, we will continue our  exploration  of Canadian identity. We also began looking at genre, and began our 40 book challenge! Best of luck to complete the challenge by June 2023. Have a great weekend, and happy reading! Students services (Ms. Foster) now has its own blog. You can now fill out a form online to request to see Student Services online! Check it out here: https://swlstudentservices.blogspot.com/
